Incredibly entertaining and stylistically (cinematography, editing, sound, music) like nothing I've seen before. I kept going back to see a certain edit or shot again because they were so cool and different.

The whole movie is just different. In the best way possible!

It does get pretty brutally violent and the romance storyline isn't perfect. But... still 5/5.

    Thelma & Louise

Watched this on the plane and really did not think I’d enjoy it as much as I did. It’s the ultimate entertaining buddy/crime/road movie, with a huge added bonus of badass women leads and a feminist perspective.
I especially noticed the writing (which I normally don’t notice as much) because every scene was super fun AND jolted the story and characters forward so much.

The movie felt so complete and satisfying and it’s hard not to literally cheer for the characters as you watch.

I watched this movie on the same day I made this account so it'll be review #1 for me. I loved it-- rare that I see a movie that moves this slow but is still SO captivating. Highlights: opening credits shot, the "estoy muerto" conversation with Cleo and the lil blonde boy, and when Cleo balances at the martial arts training. I already want to watch it again.

Us lacked the hours of build up and suspense that made Get Out so great. Not that I was expecting it to be better than Get Out (I don’t think that’s possible), but the constant action and gore somehow made Us less exciting and less scary. Some great moments still— the mirror scene at the beginning was brilliant and the ending was also cool. Acting + score/soundtrack was good. But overall I left the theater a little disappointed and confused.
