Jake’s review published on Letterboxd:
You think I wouldn’t still rewatch this shit all the time just cause it’s a new decade?? Ha.
What can I even say at this point that I haven’t already said? It’s a viseceral, layered nightmare of a movie. A gnarled rage-scream embroiled in fascism, gender normativity, and genuine Lovecraftian darkness. A giallic plunge into fears and anxieties that are still felt today. A movie that still understands empathy and basic storytelling structure don’t have to be abandoned for a hellish descent into the abyss. Beautiful, haunting, and elegiac, like a razor slowly being pulled out of your own eyes for two and half hours.
