Is it too far to say that the people that give this film anything below 2 stars are thinking irrationally? Is that statement irrational?
Well, here's why I think that. Acting, cinematography, music, and just Star Wars in general are all very, very strong in this film. Even if you don't like what happened blah blah blah how can you deny that those 4 main aspects (3 in reality) are freaking unbelievably well done? I would have said script, but that's too vague and there are some weak aspects of it. But the strong outweigh the weak in my opinion. This film also has some of the best, coolest, and awe-inspiring moments that are undeniably mother flipping awesome. I can think of 3 off the top of my head. The entire burning of the temple scene with the certain characters. The fight scene after that one person dies. The ship put into hyper-speed in the path of those other things. Those were freaking awesome scenes! Plus all those scenes are driven by emotion, not just by 'coolness'. I'm not even going into what else I liked. I just went into what I think is undeniable about this film.
Now is that first statement I made rational?
Let the past die. Kill it if you have to.
