This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

When was the last time I ever saw a horror film in a cultural analysis debut? I have never seen one until now. It was transcending religion and actual journalism of folklore and witchcraft. Whew.

There is something too subtle and bone-chilling about the ending, but in reality, you always have the truth that necromancy is out here! The conclusion was super spot on of Lucifer.

Aesthetically beautiful, creepy in every aspect. I don't think I ever felt something so…

As someone who knows the difficulties of disability, loss of insight, and that panic that comes with change, Sound of Metal strikingly moves through its plot quickly and well-formed cinematic language with such a topic.

A drummer starts to lose his hearing and is thrown into a freefall. Which is the main synopsis. I believe it contrasts with helplessness, grief, and other conscious efforts within the main protagonist, and this film style were very well made.

That magical piano notes scene of the two Stephen Strange face-offs that moved and controlled the actual sounding and music in the film was peak cinema.

Anyway, three stars? I'm being generous because, honestly, phase four is fucking dull. But this was thrilling on Sam Raimi's end, it's what Marvel desperately needs, and the camera work was lovely. However, felt very slow and bloated as we had to continue with not much excitement. I guess another Marvel film with so much potential, but oh well.

    The Northman

Kind of sour for me. I've adored Robert Eggers breaking into a thrilling escapade of challenging films and things that touch some truth and history.

The film was quite a boring experience considering I have praised what Robert has given us so far. The Northman has that small touch Robert gives with ghostly visuals but nothing strikes me in terms of the story nor the acting. A messy revenge throughout to its core that left me very uninterested half way…

The mass appeal of an erotic revenge thriller is violently pleasing in all it’s the suspense that only something of the director could conjure up. It’s mesmerizing and without subtlety just a fantastic fucking film. Moving and visually intoxicating and perfection. Masterful and has all my praise.
