It’s been about 12 hours or so since I got out of my showing for this exquisite work of art. Needless to say, I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I have been completely blown away mentally from watching true genius be displayed in a cinematic experience. Both Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert are Cinema Gods. That’s right you heard me. GODS. I loved watching Swiss Army Man, but boy oh boy, I am in love with Everything Everywhere All At…

You know that AMC intro ad where Nicole Kidman says that we go to the movie theater because we need that to feel something and to feel alive? You know the one that plays before every film? Yeah that one. This was one of the films she was describing.

Movies are supposed to accomplish this feeling, to move a person whether it be bad or good. That’s what makes a succesful story. Red Rocket made me feel disgusted and grossed out…

Honestly enjoyed this a lot. The Roger Rabbit asthetic of this film works a lot in most areas. I didn’t care for the the Ellie cop character that much. John Mulaney and Andy Samberg were great and funny as usual. The amount of easter eggs and references in this film are insane. I can’t believe Ugly Sonic has a redemption arc. Overall, a really funny and enjoyable film!

    7/10 - Good!

This film has literally come out at the exact right time in history. If you are familiar with what is going on right now concerning the supreme court and the legality of abortion, this film will show you why it is such an important issue. Although it is not for the faint of heart, this film felt so very real and it traumatized the hell out of me.

Every actor and actress in this felt so very real and I…

Robert Eggers’ The Northman is a culmination of many stories told on screen before but is done so well that it kept my eyes glued to the screen for its entire duration. The acting was great and the film kept true to Eggers’ style of incorporating another language and giving everyone an accent for the historical time period and location the film was set in. The cinematography was absolutely breathtaking. It reminded me a lot of last year’s film Lamb and how…

Finally, I’m now caught up on all of PTA’s films. What a journey it has been. I saved Phantom Thread for last for multiple reasons. 1. Because it just came back to streaming and I’ve been waiting forever to finally watch it. 2. I’ve known about this film since it came out and how much oscar buzz it generated which generally peaked my interest. 3. This was Daniel Day Lewis’ swan song. His last ever acting role. So I saw it would be…
