    French children, man.

    What fun!!

  • Topsy-Turvy

Watched again and boy do I want to have a cocktail with Helen Lenoir in the afterlife.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Bumped my rating up to reflect that I unreservedly and non ironically cry at the Husivik song every single time.

  • Emergency

Really amazing tightrope walk of a movie, and never not believable. Genuinely funny and genuinely tense. Bonus points for not letting certain people off the hook. Stupendous pre-credits moment.

  • Pride

Back here again whenever I’m feeling blue.

  • Walking and Talking

    Walking and Talking

This movie came out the year I turned 30, I lived with my best friend for seven years until she got engaged, and had an on/off with a sexy Jewish dork most of that time.
Anyway, my TOTALLY UNBIASED AND CORRECT opinion is that this rules and they are both luminous. RIP.

  • House of Gucci

    House of Gucci

This movie doesn’t know what it’s about but every single actor has a DEFINITE idea what it’s about and tries to convey that at every turn. Too long but somehow rushed, campy but not enjoyable, also the weirdest needle drops. Will always be a sucker for a hot shit fashion show, though.

  • Encanto

Does not have the courage of its (as laid out at the beginning anyway) convictions, but my lord is this gorgeous to look at and listen to and I cried. LMM continues to slay.

  • Last Night in Soho

    Last Night in Soho

There has never been an Irish pub called The Toucan.

Loved the intro of Sandy, hated everything to do with (poor) John.

If more people learn about Cilla, dayenu.

  • Procession

Did not/could not finish. I want nothing but peace for these brave souls, and the premise is pretty fascinating but I am just not able to watch other peoples’ therapy.

  • Belfast

The complete flattening of the Troubles into My Parents Were The Good Ones Who Loved Everyone makes it hard to enjoy even the surface pleasures afforded by some insanely beautiful and talented people trying their best. Reductive and boring.
