SkaneNoise’s review published on Letterboxd:
The opening to this film was so much fucking fun that I thought I’d just about lose my mind while it was happening. The opening also worked in other ways besides being super duper fun, it tells me that I can trust these artists, it says ‘just go with it, come to this world with us, this way of storytelling’. The opening warns that the movie will be sad, but it also let’s you know that it will be playful and worthwhile and that it knows where lies its artifices and where lies its truths.
Give me heavy-playfulness and I’ll show you how art is heaven. How abstractions between the lines are where all the real communications take place, the ones that get muddied up by perception and trying to decode that perception.
