"This is not going to go the way you think." - Luke Skywalker
Rian Johnson literally took ever fan theory and shattered them in the best way possible.
I wasn't prepared.
I cried a lot. I laughed a lot.
Ladies and Gentlemen, THE LAST JEDI is here.
This is truly a STAR WARS film and one that goes places we've never seen before. It may not be perfect (Finn's storyline) but the emotional journey this will take you on is truly a special one. Episode VIII enriches and expands on the universe in ways I never imagined. THE LAST JEDI is packed to the brim with story. It takes risk and dares to challenge you. It's a movie filled with big moments that deliver BIG. Some will welcome it all and others may feel hurt. There's truly never not something going on that doesn't entice you and while some subplots may seem a bit more interesting than others it's always unpredictable in where it's leading.
I am completely stunned by the character development at work. Rey and Kylo truly surprised me in their evolution. Luke broke me through his grief. Leia healed me with her heart.
This is a fine masterclass in Hollywood movie magic. A journey that I look forward to venturing on for many decades to come. STAR WARS EPISODE VIII: THE LAST JEDI is a souring cinematic spectacle that ranks near the very best of the franchise. You truly aren't ready for this one.
