    Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers

    ★★★½

All Angela wanted was to sing some kumbaya and have a wholesome camp experience but the fornicating drug addled kids ruined it all. With great cheesy humor, delicious gore, and some shoutouts to other horror franchises, Sleepaway Camp 2 is a treat!

    Black Water

    ★★★½

A microbudget man vs croc film featuring excellent editing and impressive tension. The musical score mixed with the sounds of the swamp wild really absorb you into the situation. I found myself shouting at the screen and gripping my couch. Not often does a creature flick inspire such a visceral feelings in me. This is not just a film, it's an experience. My only criticism is the characters themselves lacked depth but let's be honest, I'm watching for the croc anyways.

Neve Campbell’s campy song and dance number and Kristin Bell’s BDSM dance number is something special. This is a ridiculously fun musical based off of the original Reefer Madness anti-marijuana PSA.

You kids better watch this true story and think hard before lighting your Jazz cigarettes

    Crawl

    ★★★½

Solid alligator thriller! With lean run time of 87 minutes, Crawl delivers a claustrophobic man vs beast tale that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. I can also tell they researched alligator behavior and made it as realistic a premise as possible with some artistic license. The main characters were also pretty well rounded and easy to root for as well. The convenience store mirror shot was simple but really neat-o.

If the Sound of Music did a bunch of LSD and hooked up with The Wicker Man.

Y’all, I’m going to be honest, this one unsettled me and had me at the brink of a panic attack (the tightness in my chest during the cliff scene was much). Although parts are fairly predictable, the film’s ability to make you question time through its use of creative camera angles and soundtrack, created an air of uncertainty that amplified seemingly benign scenes.…

I knew nothing about this movie going in and it was bat shit ride of insanity that I highly recommend. Allison Williams and Logan Browning are bloody brilliant in their performances. I need Allison Williams in more psychological horror films stat - she can bring a level of charming chaos that sets my spooky gay heart on fire. The 90 minutes actually flies on by and doesn't overstay its welcome, which hasn't been an easy feat for the genre lately.…
