Part of the Kid Selection
Age of Child: 5
My boy's a fan of the ol' green man and Thor: Ragnarok is the one entry in the franchise that delivers a more comedic angle for the Hulk's character, with some good ol' buddy banter with Hemsworth.
Even an anti-Marvel man such as myself still found something enjoyable here and there - on a 2nd watch no less.
My favourite part/line is still the one where Thor encounters Hulk in the battle arena, and he's so relieved to see a 'friendly' familiar face that he happily blurts out to Goldblum who's watching: "I know him, he's a friend from work!".
My kid really enjoyed it. Took a while for Hulk to make an appearance so I kept having to nurture his impatience about that, but he thought the movie was cool and fun overall.
And on a separate note, it made me realise how Karl Urban resembled one of those marines straight out of Warhammer 40.000. Not that I've ever played the games, but his whole look was pretty faithful to those dudes.
