I’m struggling to find words for this film - it’s breathtaking. For me, this is the best film I’ve seen this year.
Bong Joon-Ho has out done himself here, I am not surprised this won Palme d’Or at Cannes. It looks stunning visually, the colours stand out in every scene which helps capture the tone immensely. Very powerful in delivering a message, showing the gap between rich and poor - highlighting the two extremes. Not to forget the beautiful score by Jong Jaeil - ‘The belt of faith’ & ‘Opening’
This is original and it is definitely best to go in knowing as little as possible! It will continue to subvert any expectations you may have and I hope everyone appreciates this as much I did! The “rewatchability” is high thanks to major attention to detail.
5/5 - This is perfect and has all of the elements I want to see in a Film!
