Scott Kaczynski’s review published on Letterboxd:
Definitely not as good as the first two, however this is probably the most remembered by me. As kids, we watched the shit out of this movie. Even though it wasn't in 3-D at home, you could tell all the purposeful shots attempting to use the technology, and they were great! Actually there are way more clever 3-D turns in this movie than any during the trend in the last couple of years.
Jason finally in full gear and tearing apart the campers. Yeah! I love the fact that Jason really turns on the gas, and runs in this movie. It makes him much more scary than the lumbering hulk that he becomes in the later movies.
I don't know why they decided to stop using crazy old drifters to share prophecies of the end times, but at least we get another here to replace Crazy Ralph.
Tell me Shelly could not be the older brother of Seth Rogen? Separated at birth?
Part III rocks, but the Final Chapter awaits! Bring on Cory Feldman & Crispin Glover!!!
