Watching this while going through a rough breakup may be a little masochistic, but this film is beautiful and more meaningful to me now more than ever.

Censor 2021
As fantastic as that last sequence was, I can’t help but feel that Censor missed so many turning points of greater potential and ended up somewhere a bit underwhelming. On the upside, I bloody love the moody tone of 90s Britain that’s produced here, the replication of budget VHS horror aesthetics is a treat, Niamh Algar is wonderful and the runtime is 80 minutes. Class.
