It's really strange to see all the films that are shown banned, seized and confiscated during this documentary while looking around your room and seeing them on your shelves in - sometimes deluxe, collector's edition - legally-available Blu-rays.
Times change, and though I'm glad that I'm old enough to be able to relate to the stories of mail-order bootlegs, film fairs and scare stories about splatter movies being considered snuff, I think we're a lot better off now.
One thing that really stood out was the news report saying that video dealers swap details in contact magazines, just like paedophiles have. Yes, and stamp collectors, and model railway enthusiasts, and fucking anyone pre-internet *smh*.
