JAWSH 🌃’s review published on Letterboxd:
Playing out like a cross between John Wick, A Ghost Story, and Certain Women (only it’s all Nick Cage).
Pig is an adventure movie unlike any to come out in recent memory.
It’s a film that centers it’s off-kilter plot with serious drama and very successful emotional stakes.
Like a chef who prepares their meal with upmost precision, Michael Sarnoski delicately explores the nature of profession, existentialism, and grief.
Pig through it’s simple driving force, allows itself to ponder and exist within these themes. What do we want to live for? And what’s left when those things are removed from our lives?
Nicolas Cage is also fantastic here, like he is so perfectly cast and Alex Wolff is more than capable of holding his own against Cage!
