SocioJoe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Such multilayered elegance. I understand all the praise for Steven Yeun's performance, but really feel this is Yoo Ah-in's movie. It's his quietly tight portrayal that anchors this brooding tale of loneliness, paranoid imagination, cultural appropriation, selfish narcissism, voyeurism, casual misogyny, metaphors, and meaning.
I think I have more specific things to say, but it's going to take more time, processing, and maybe a rewatch for me to unpack this one.
