Sofia’s review published on Letterboxd:
Foxes scamper, their cries lurching against the wind, a deer lies dead on the sand, birds flock blackly above. A woman, mysteriously pregnant, wanders alone. You soiled our village with evils, you sleep with ghouls at night... The people spit at her, expressions plastered with a savage distrust. Ostracised, vilified, banished from her village, Mara flees, seeking refuge though facing the same contempt wherever she goes. It is a tale laced with notions of mysticism and sorcery, of the threads between earth and man and the tragic disjunction between what we blindly perceive and what is truly, though somehow miraculously, there.
