Naked ★★

Over indulgent, bleak affair in which a rapist (David Thewlis) escapes Manchester to wander aimlessly around the streets of London as he engages in philosophical encounters with eccentric strangers.

Every performance is mannered, the story is too long, and there's a pretentious air to many of the monologues. It is not an entirely worthless film, but fails to captivate or provide catharsis from the all too self-aware characters.
