Crimes of the Future 2022
Was expecting much more. Got repetitive at points and lost the plot many, many times. I think the acting was good, obviously playing to their characters well. I think the dialogue was difficult to hear at times, which made the plot even more confusing. I felt I should have received the message, but it didn’t become clear to me.

Morvern Callar 2002
First of all, this is such a well shot film. The desaturated tones of the interiors in Scotland combined with the minimal lighting really helped create the mood, especially the ever present Christmas tree lighting.
I think Samantha’s performance was amazing, she kept these subtle emotions all the way through the film, only sometimes giving something away, and Kathleen McDermott’s performance was great as somewhat of an opposing character.
