Jojo Rabbit is the best comedy I've seen since Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
I was absolutely blown tf away by this film. I was genuinely laughing my ass off through the entire thing. It's an exceptionally written film. Taika Waititi is legitimately a genius. This film is super silly and super funny until it's not and you're like oh fuck. The way this movie manages to balance tones of pure hilariousness and total seriousness is amazing and I can't believe how it completely works.
I cannot say enough good things about this cast. There are characters that are over the top silly and also characters that are incredibly grounded. Pardon my French, but holy fucking shit. Every single person in this movie knocks it out of the fucking park. Scarlett Johansson was sensational. Sam Rockwell is funny as hell. I typically find Rebel Wilson annoying. But in this I found her hysterical. She was given some hilarious lines and great moments. Lets also talk about Roman Griffin Davis who is the main character Jojo. His performance might be the best child acting I've ever seen and this is his first film ever......like WHAT!? You could seriously nominate the entire cast for Academy Awards.
Jojo Rabbit hit on all cylinders for me and I loved it so much. There aren't enough good things I can say about this film. Take a bow Taika Waititi.
