Say what you will about Tim Burton but I still think he found a way to literally shrink Michael Keaton bc I truly don't know how he pulled off the forced perspective in this so bloody well.

I Don't Know Who You Are 2023
My dear friend poured his heart and soul into this film and you can see if in every frame. He doesn't shy away from difficult and ugly moments while still managing to be beautifully cinematic in this remarkable debut. Mark Clennon holds up his end of the deal with a committed and tender performance, guiding the audience through his characters up's and downs with grace.

Asteroid City 2023
Blown away by this. So relieved I got to catch it before it leaves cinemas ever too quickly (thank god for second run theatres, s/o The Fox!) but I really feel like this might be his best, or rather than best, his most cumulative work in a very meaningful way. Sleepless in Seattle 1993
It might have been that I watched this for the first time(!) on a plane coming home from yet another visit to my long distance partner in NYC, but yeah, this hit me in all the right places.
