More and more often as I watch films about relationships, I find myself thinking, "if someone did this in real life, it'd be completely inappropriate and creepy".
Following someone home without them realising is generally not cute. Watching people sleep without them knowing you're actually in the room: not cute. Cue cards: not cute.
While some of these films are about actual stalking, they all start out innocently enough at first. I'm mostly interested in films that portray near-stalking as some sort of messed-up romantic ideal.
Check the notes for comments, and feel free to add your suggestions. Whenever something has made you go, "hey, they should really know when to back off", it's welcome here.
PS: some of these films are actually very good.
Not to be confused with my Careful! That Person You’ve Just Met and/or Slept with Is Totes Going to Be Obsessed With You-list.
