“Welcome, and happy Midsommar. Skål!”
Beautifully crafted with interesting cinematography, a decent score, and pleasant colors and visuals that breathe fresh life into a film about death and pain.
There are multiple different interesting and connected themes at play throughout the movie that become clearer as the movie progresses; a rewatch would surely make these themes more obvious.
On the downside, there are some points at which the movie feels a bit too slow or dragged out.
Even so, I ultimately enjoyed it for its aesthetics and the exploration of its themes.
