Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story 2017
okay. listen. I could make this review about how the system failed Hedy solely because she was a woman, but that's a narrative that's been told for years. I could also say something like 'wow' or 'I'm shook' but that wouldn't do her any justice, and that's what this movie's purpose was. obviously, there are no words sufficient enough to express just how amazing this woman was, but I'll try.

Right.........this was the last short shown in my screening of the live action nominees and when the credits started rolling one woman in the theater said ‘I need a cocktail.’
Edit: I knew this would win but I’m still fuming. Congrats to the academy for saying that blackface in 2019 is not only acceptable but worthy of an award!!!!
