Nat’s review published on Letterboxd:
Comfortably one of the best Bonds, certainly of the serious entries. Skyfall gets to explore the otherwise unseen side of the titular character. In this instalment, he's a broken man not fit for service, who continues to suck those closest to him into his own whirlwind of chaos and destruction. We also get to learn more of our hero's background, earning a hint of why he ended up how he did whilst flipping the trope of the big finale in the villain's lair.
On top of all that, the dialogue is snappy, the bad guy is truly terrifying and psychotic and the action is punctuated with moments of genuine beauty.
The only real negative for me is that the theme song is the most lazy and derivative in the entire franchise, but it works for most people so I can't shit on it.
