The operatic highs and lows of an intense relationship between artists and what they create. Trying to find whether their act can remain consistent while they watch those around them succeed by essentially trying new things. Creating art just because it’s easy vs trying to share your gifts and make your audience feel genuine emotions.
Feels like Eraserhead by way of Michel Gondry, with how deeply profound a lot of the sadness and emotions felt, while the characters are surrounded by a heightened storybook world.
I absolutely loved the Baby Annette marionette!! Truly amazing.
