Spencer’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was supposed to see this with Keegan but I guess he decided not to go because I didn’t see him anywhere in the theater. I hadn’t seen a trailer for this and was so surprised. Wes Anderson swaps out his regular cast members for Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson. His typical style has been replaced with cgi heavy action sequences that felt like something out of a comic book. The special effects on the main character were really incredible. I’m very excited for this new direction in Wes Anderson’s career and can’t wait to see what he does next!
Edit: I have just been informed that I walked into the wrong theater and did not actually see The French Dispatch
