Not bad, but feels both too long and like it has too much going on. I kinda lost interest at some points. I mean, we’ve got a white rabbit, mysterious bugs, a pregnancy speedrun, a big fucking stork, a scary piece of cloth, you name it! Meanwhile the titular sect just kinda looms around in the background without me ever getting a feel for it. Still, a lot of great set pieces and entertaining moments, it just didn’t quite work for me.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Really fucking good. Ridiculous, and all the better for it, because it makes those feelings crawl up on you. Visually a blast, genuinely funny, great action, actually delves into how a multiverse realistically would send people into a spiral of nihilism; it’s just one of those dang good blockbusters that show up every once in a while.
It’s going to be discussed so much that I don’t have much to offer, so I’ll just end on the note that I am happy to have watched it and I cried.

The Muppet Movie 1979
This is my first proper introduction to the Muppets. I cried several times for no discernible reason other than it being so warm and fuzzy and funny little creachures.
The puppetry is magical and makes each character come to life and it’s just! Super fun!! I love the Muppets now, they’re my friends. -
The Muppets 2011
I cried copious amounts. Nothing sad even had to happen. I’ve just gotten very attached to the Muppets and they reach into that little part of my brain that tells me that I deserve to love and be loved. I can’t quite put my finger on just why it’s these fabric fellows that have been able take ahold of my entire heart and invoke such strong feelings, but I’m happy. A few weeks of exposure, a few films, that’s all…
