Super engaging watch, a true rollercoaster. It's Kill Bill, it's a mumblecore romantic comedy, it's an afterschool special. And, those aren't like, discrete segments. It winds in and out. So, I can't say the tone management works. But, the screenplay is hot fire and several of the performances, especially Mulligan and Burnham, are captivating. Mulligan deserves the praise of course, but someone needs to get Bo Burnham in a down the middle rom-com, stat. Even in Palm Springs - he would have killed.
