A last-minute planned cinema trip meant seeing this film a whole lot sooner than expected and I am glad I did!
Taika Waititi brings us this comedic war film set during World War II and follows a Hitler-loving boy ready to fight, Roman Griffin Davis is absolutely brilliant as Jojo Betzler alongside Waititi as Hitler. The pair provide numerous comedic moments throughout and with the rest of the cast such as Thomasin McKenzie, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, Alfie Allen, Stephen Merchant and Archie Yates provide a bloody fantastic set of characters.
Not only does the film bring humour, due to the setting there is plenty of drama to be had and it gets surprisingly serious and emotional at times giving the film that extra depth to push it forward.
