I’d rather watch Disney dump toxic waste in the ocean than watch this level of waste again.
But my daughter liked it.

I remembered this movie being an acceptable return-to-form apology. On second viewing, it’s yet another stale third entry in a franchise too lucrative to deliver entries at its own pace.
12 and 13 are both less inspired and sloppy but I’m surprised to realize now how much fun 12 is and how confined 13 feels.

Has stuck with me many hours after seeing it. Like "Get Out," the twists and turns in store when watching the film are absurd but tap directly into the most paranoid part of your brain. I'm unsure if this movie's exposition does it any favors aside from more box-office potential (people prefer corny explanations over no explanations) and I could have done without Winston Duke's comic relief lines during some of the biggest scared shitless moments because he and the rest of the cast do otherwise phenomenal work in this wonderfully directed, freaky film.

Return of the Jedi 1983
There isn't much that can destroy my nostalgia for a film that represented the ultimate finale during my formative years, but in hindsight, there is no question that this technical marvel with a perfect score by John Williams fell short due to producer/creator George Lucas' transition from innovative filmmaker to businessman.
Better, more challenging plot elements - in the spirit of "Empire" - were scrapped in favor a light-hearted tone and the film's structure is overstuffed with the Jabba's Palace…
