“Kids! Who made the little bastards.”
Parents is a 1989 American black comedy horror film directed by Bob Balaban which follows a young boy living in 1950s suburbia who suspects his parents are cannibalistic murderers.
Similar in tone to John Water’s’ Serial Mom and Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs, Parents is a breezy, fun and entertaining movie that is certainly worth your time.
With great performances from Randy Quaid and Mary Beth Hurt, the film might be low in the gore department but still manages to overall be a lot of fun.
