God this is such a good movie. Rian Johnson takes the characters that J.J. Abrams and crew created for The Force Awakens and puts them into situations that actually test them, rather than the usual low stakes adventures we're used to seeing in blockbusters like this. Johnson injected so many interesting new ideas into the franchise and I'll never understand why such a vocal part of the fanbase turned against it so sharply.
