STEVEN 🦇’s review published on Letterboxd:
Wild at Heart is a sloppy surreal romantic-thriller crime-comedy that plays with sex, violence and horror in ways only David Lynch could. Nicolas Cage isn't one of my favorite actors, but paired with an electric Laura Dern, captivated me for the entire two hours. Starts with a bang and keeps it rolling, only ever slowing down its bizarre hellish road adventure when the characters themselves run out of steam. Certainly rich with those zany Twin Peaks cameos; with Sherilyn Fenn as a heart-shattering car accident victim, Sheryl Lee floating in as Glinda the Good Witch, and Grace Zabriskie doing whatever the hell that was. Pure madness.
