  (blockbuster b-movie trash-movie oddity. the apotheosis narratively and tonally of the star wars prequels - the most satisfying combination of the previous films' sci-fi action, politics, camp, and engrossingly bad filmmaking.

  initially seeming detriments to the series, the characterization of darth vader and the inclusion of politics here are some of the film's strongest attributes. in the original series, darth vader was a cool, badass motherfucker. here, he's exposed for what he is - a fucking loser.

  NOOOOOOOO STINKEEEEEEE (Puss in Boots sequel. Visually, a great expansion of Spider-Verse’s experimentation with frame rate, with the addition of wild, exciting perspective distortion.

  Strong, satisfying character work and plot too, but my appreciation for the film is diminished by the fact that the dialogue is packed with modern comedy cliches.)
