Season 4 of Downton Abbey might be my least favorite (though it’s still 5-stars to me) but I think this “Christmas Special” was a very wonderful finale for the season. We get to see a new location, get to see Shirley MacLaine’s wonderful return, we get introduced to Cora’s brother played by Paul Giamatti, and we also got some great set up for the next season.

Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson have cute chemistry with each other that makes this fun to watch. Plus, the soundtrack is just fantastic and each song perfectly fits the story.

I just know when this gets released on BluRay…

This was really spectacular. Steven Spielberg is a masterful director and he truly brought a special touch to this classic musical. The production design, the cinematography, the costuming and the direction of the musical numbers were truly amazing on every level. The “America” sequence has always been my favorite number from this musical and this iteration did not disappoint. As for the performances, all but one (the expected one), were so great. Rachel Zegler will be a star, her Maria…
