After Hours

After Hours ★★★

I’m starting to get the feeling that I just don’t care for Martin Scorsese films. The man is definitely a legend and I respect him immensely for his contributions to film, but with the exception of a few of his films, I find myself appreciating his films more than enjoying them. After Hours is an interesting film for sure, and I really enjoyed the supporting cast of characters a lot. I wasn’t expecting to see Catherine O’Hara in this but she was definitely the highlight for me. The story just never came together for me, I couldn’t find anything about Griffin Dunne’s Paul that I liked or cared about and because of that I couldn’t be moved to care about his struggle throughout the night.
