Woman at War. The multiplexes have Captain Marvel, which is apparently a feminist warrior flick. I'll never watch it in a million years. The art houses have Woman at War, a feminist eco-warrior flick in Icelandic (with a little English and Ukrainian). I saw it tonight and it's a lovely blend of pathos and screwball comedy. A 49 year-old eco-terrorist plans one more assault on an aluminum plant before she goes to Ukraine to pick up her 4 year-old adopted kid. There is a solid plot, chase scenes, sight gags, and also twists galore. Who needs Marvel when you can marvel at a fun Icelandic flick? 4.23 on the Stumeter.
