Listen, I expected to dig this thing, but I did not expect this thing. Holy shit, seeing this in IMAX was genuinely gobsmacking; the sound design alone was incredible, but good GOD the frames Hoyte Van Hoytema & Peele are putting on screen here are all timers. Everyone’s on top form, but I think above else I really loved how surprising and effective the thematic stuff here is - this feels, to me, like Peele’s most intriguing and accomplished work, even if it’s not as tight as something like Get Out.
