Never has the insurance business been so sexy.
Would make a good double-feature with Atom Egoyan's The Adjuster, about an equally horny insurance man.
Seeing Annie Giradot face off against a self-sacrificing overly dramatic mother knowing she goes on to play a self-sacrificing overly dramatic mother in The Piano Teacher is just...brilliant. And love that Giradot and Delon somehow do their best work in Italian.
I live for this drama, for the shadowy streets of Milan, for Alain Delon's cheekbones and dog tags, for all the brothers' barely-there tank tops...I digress.
It's that feeling when you see a movie that you know influenced a countless number of your favorite films. The restoration is also so good that it even looked good on my shitty 32" TV.
