Harmless 90s horror fun; cheesy as hell, soap opera caliber acting and lots of fun cameos (including John Byner, Buck Flower, Ted Raimi, Tom Savini, Tony Todd, and more).
    A goofy guilty pleasure.

    Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

Cohen’s satire is sharper than ever and the gags land with a furious pace.

Perfectly timed ahead of the American election with the hypocrisy of Trump and his bigoted apologists the primary targets, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is one of the year’s best and most cleverest of comedies.

    Don’t miss it.

Well, this was a surprising, funny, frightening, simultaneously ill-tempered and heartwarming, treat.

One of the more playful and enjoyably perplexing werewolf tales (the alcoholism as a form of lycanthropy metaphor was a stroke of mad genius) in some time.

Polymath filmmaker Jim Cummings is two for two in my book.

    The Brood

It was an absolute thrill to rewatch this for the first time in probably 30 years (thanks Criterion Channel!). What a messed up trip!

Regularly cited as one of David Cronenberg’s most personal works, The Brood also marked the director’s first box-office success.

Nola Carveth (Samantha Eggar) is a deeply disturbed woman who, after a failed marriage and subsequent mental collapse, undergoes experimental psychotherapy at the Somafree Institute, under the watchful eye of one Dr. Hal Raglan (Oliver Reed).
