Laurie’s review published on Letterboxd:
Found the story a bit more dull than in the first one (in the sense that I was a bit bored by some of the non-musical parts), but everything else is absolutely perfect in every way. Just as campy, just as fun, and with overall better singing. I almost felt like crying everytime the editing paralleled Sophie and young Donna (which was, like, 3/4 of the movie); I just love that this isn't just a movie about Donna & her three romantic partners but really, at its core, a movie about family and everything Donna built (the I Have a Dream scene? incredible breathtaking never been done before would have made me sob if I wasn't so out of touch with my emotions).
I'm starting a fundraiser for Mamma Mia! 3 (2028) right now.
