    Joker

    ★★★★½

Wow! I wasn't expecting that. I'm not a fan of the Marvel/Dc movies, but I do love the universe (I love the comics), and I think that they wanted to do something different but still with the characters (Joker, the Wayne family). And they succeeded. Some scenes definitely caught me off guards because I didn't expect this much violence yet it was so well done. It's basically the representation of someone who has been good all his life, even though…

In this house we saw the end coming but it was still enjoyable if a bit stereotypical

  • Hustlers

    Hustlers

    ★★★★

I love the way they emphasized the importance of friendship throughout the story, and how they just didn't blame anyone (except the men muah!), even though I wish Ramona wouldn't have been that stereotyped. This is a good movie and I had a great time, you lowkey feel powerful after seeing it! I think it's time we start praising ALL women, whatever their jobs are. Even if they broke rules, as they said, their job isn't rewarding those who play…

  • Ad Astra

    Ad Astra

    ★★★★

I think the main reason why I liked Ad Astra so much is Brad Pitt's performance combined why the space themed plot. Yet I can't help but thinking about the complex layers of the story, the colours throughout the movie — evolving with Roy's state of mind. I don't think it's just a movie about space travel, it's more than that. It's more the relationship between a son and his dad. It was so touching to me, no matter how much he kept being angry at his dad he still loved him and always tried to make excuses, and somehow, to save him.

  • It Chapter Two

    It Chapter Two

    ★★½

I'm beyond disappointed. Sadly, they now rely on jumpscares and completely gave up on the story itself. I wish they'd stick up with one for a start. So many things left unsaid and nothing seem to make any sense.
I still enjoyed the movie but I'm left confused/disappointed.

  • Ready or Not

    Ready or Not

    ★★★

I really wanted to like this movie but the lack of coherance with some aspects disturbed me so much. I liked the witty aspect in contrast with the very gore and graphic scenes. But, still, I found myself confused so many times. I really do think it's a good movie if you want to spend a good time because the cast did an amazing job, and the artistic direction is actually very impressive. But if you're looking to be surprised by unexpected events, please don't go see this movie.

This is still so good. Even after 3 rewatches. This is pure excellence. Every time I watch it I notice something different about a certain character, or a scene, or even a cinematographic choice. Amazing

  • Escape Room

    Escape Room

    ★★½

I had high expectations but it wasn't that good. A lot of the 'plot twist' were actually predictible. The cast was good though and it was still enjoyable! I liked the way it was filmed and the concept was great though they could have done better.
I loved the aspect of the movie were they realize it's not a simple puzzle but it's about 'them', kind of like a trial. (I have not seen Saw but everyone said that so I guess this is where everything makes sense).
