I mean technically I just watched the last half again but based on my chaotic watching chronicles of this film I say it definitely counts as me logging that I’ve “seen” it “twice”

I want to talk about this movie until my throat is hoarse. I absolutely live for the way this has opened me emotionally and creatively. Every frame, every scene, and every line: a reward for attention. 

I get overwhelmed trying to find meaning in films that seem like a puzzle with 1 right answer, but Drive My Car doesn’t seem to care what picture you’re making or if you use all the pieces. The themes of miscommunication highlight how much subjectivity is involved when art speaks to us, but this is objectively Art.

I really can’t praise this enough. Catharsis is sublime.
