There’s basically nothing new to be said about Gerwig so I could just leave it at that, but honestly, praising Gerwig’s work is just too much fun. Lady Bird is as authentic and charming as movies can be.
As I’m sure it does/did to most, the feeling of life having yet to begin envelopes my adolescence and young adulthood, and Gerwig encapsulates that and the flooding of emotions that come with it perfectly.
I’ve never wanted to immediately rewatch a movie so badly.
