Okay so... this might be a bold statement for me, but Call Me By Your Name is my new favorite movie. This shocked even myself since The Dark Knight has always held a special place in my heart and has been my absolute unwavering favorite since I was 8 years old. Now ten years later, I think it’s safe to say I have a new favorite. Everything about it is stunning; the cinematography, the acting, the soundtrack, everything. I will be distraught if it doesn’t win any oscars because it already hasn’t received the attention it deserves. I have waited for this movie for a year and it didn’t disappoint. As for the adaptation from the book, I don’t think it could’ve been done any better. Pretty much everything was exactly how I imagined. I am still reeling from the film which I only saw a few hours ago but I am ready to start re-reading the book for a third time. My birthday is tomorrow so this was really the best birthday present ever. 🍑
