#400th film of this yr
Hey everyone, I want you to say thank you to David Lynch. Because, he took one for the team. Man this adaptation of Dune was just absolutely monotone. I do respect the imagery, set design and the overall message of the story. But, I could not get into the Lynchian weirdness. This is by far his worst film. Toto and Brian Eno also was saved from a good score/soundtrack.
I'm really intrigued to see how Denis Villeneuve adapts this story into two parts. I think he can do it. If Lynch and Alejandro Jodorowsky couldn't do it then, there should be a third charm.
Also, I highly recommend watching the documentary Jodorowsky's Dune. It has some great insight on the BTS and the overall pre-production of Jodorowsky's version of Dune.
