The gay subtext energy is strong in this one. I really enjoyed this. I've been slacking on Hitchcock. Aside from Psycho, that's literally it. So I've decided to do a marathon of most of his works.
Starting with this one, I liked how he tied naturalistic horror and romance by using the attacks/movements of the birds. You can kinda tell when they are going to attack or not. The social statement about how we treat animals can be found in this film. Also, how we treat our loved ones.
Overall, I think this is a solid horror flick with an allgory about love, climate change and lesbianism.
