have you ever seen a portal?
Richard Kelly's Donnie Darko is flat out ridiculous, no way around it, just pure ridiculousness; whether it be the complicated plot, a lack of chronological storytelling, or the bizarre narrative elements such as time travel, portals and the ending of the world. However, for all the incredibly insane things Donnie Darko contains, it makes up for it by bringing absurd amounts of entertainment. From Jake Gyllenhaal's stellar performance to the hilarious screenplay, Donnie Darko was pure fun, even if I had no idea what was going on.
