All men are complicit in the wrongdoings and actions of other men, there are no “nice guys” or “gentlemen” in one way or another they show that it’s the same predator in a different mask.
This film also shows the story of a ghost, Cassie seemed to have been living just to get some kind of justice for Nina. A shell walking around and acting out of vengeance and anger and sadness and grief. She died when Nina did.
We can use the things that hurt us in different ways. Cassie never seemed to have actually coped with the trauma, she just found different ways to pick at that same wound, until she found a way to seemingly put an end to it all.
